NEWS: NEW COMMUNICATION LAWS IN TANZANIA

Here are important changes regarding the new communication laws on WhatsApp and WhatsApp calls (voice and video calls) that will be implemented starting tomorrow: -

All communications will be recorded.

Copies of communication records will be stored.

WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media will be monitored.

Your devices will be connected to the Ministry's system.

Be careful not to send malicious messages to anyone.

Tell your children, siblings, relatives, friends, and people you know that they should be careful and few on social media.

Do not send malicious posts or videos against the government regarding politics or the current situation.

It is currently a crime to write or send malicious messages about any political or religious issue, doing so may result in arrest without a warrant.

The police will issue a statement, then open cybercrime cases, which is a serious matter.

All group members, operators please consider this issue.

Be careful not to send malicious messages and everyone should know and take caution on the topic.

✔✔ = Message arrived.

Two blue ticks ✔️✔️ = Message read.

Three blue ticks ✔️✔️✔️ = The government has taken note of the message.

Two blue ticks ✔️✔️ and one red tick ✔️ = The government may take action against you.

One blue tick ✔️ and two red ticks ✔️✔️ = The government is investigating your information.

Three red ticks ✔✔✔ = The government has started taking action against you and you will receive a court summons soon.
